okay I just read this thread and wanted to give my thoughts on this~ I've been a victim of both the dumper and the dumpee - I'm always getting dumped - I mean I was always getting dumped then in 95 I met this great guy who turned out to be 4 years younger than I was - me 21 and him 17 (no chester jokes please) anyways.... he didn't look his age, neither did I - anyways we wound up living a life of alcohol/drug induced chaos - once I got sober I realized that him and I weren't compatible and that he had his own issues to deal with so I dumped him 7 years later - don't ask me why I stayed in the relationship maybe I was just too drunk or spun out to realize what was really going on - anyways my point is you have to look out for yourself and focus on yourself and think for yourself don't let anyone else command your thoughts or choices or whatever, etc etc!!! During the first breakup I met another dude (a musician unfortunately) and he was the greatest guy I had ever met then he dumped me a month later but I'll never forget him though - then I tried working things out with the other ex and that didn't work out either - now I'm going out with a great guy (who's not a musician) and he's possibly the BEST THING thats ever happened to me - I just turned 30 and its true you should wait until your around my age to realize whats out there for you - remember everything happens for a reason and things just happen to fall in place sometimes - anyways I'm sorry for boring you all with life story but I figured it would help me and help out someone else in giving them hope in love !!! Just be patient and love will hit ya right smack in the face when you least expect it!!

What I meant to say "helping me" was that this was very therapeutic venting out how I felt, and how I feel now - I'm very happy where I am now in life !!!!

Well, I'm not saying wait until you're older, I'm saying don't get pissy about it and too depressed about it until life is getting near it's natural end. I CAN'T say "wait until you're older", as I got married when I was 24. Almost 10 years later and things have never been better. But it isn't everybody who gets that lucky at a young age. I just knew me, and knew what I was feeling was VERY different than all teh other situations.
Everybody is different, but there IS somebody for everybody. Patience, understanding, and compromise, and all works, if it is meant to. If it doesn't work, then it doesn't work and life moves on.
John,I promise you,in 1 years time (which is like a flyshit in a whole lifetime)you WILL feel a lot better!!When I was younger I also wanted to die cos my boyfriend,who I loved more than life itself (it seemed) dumped me.Hell,am I happy I didnt!!Since then I have met many wonderful peeps,met and gone out with men who are absolute sweethearts, and made great friends.It doesn't even bear thinking about that I would have missed out on all these wonderful peeps,and many wonderful experiences.There IS a future for you, a good one!And yes,you WILL find it when time is right!And everybody who has been in ur situation will be a living,smiling proof to this!
